If you’re planning to buy and install a new, major appliance like a furnace, dryer, and/or water heater, make sure you take advantage of incentives available to our propane customers. The MN Propane Association currently has a “Consumer Appliance Incentive Program” extending from 2022 into 2023, that we want to make sure you know about. If you are ready to replace a propane burning appliance, there are some significant rebate incentives available to help you offset the cost of installing a NEW:
- $1000 Rebate for a Propane Combi-Unit in new construction, change of energy source, or replacement
- $800 Rebate for a Propane Water Heater in new construction, change of energy, or replacement
- $400 Rebate for a Propane Furnace/Boiler in new construction, change of energy source, or replacement
- $100 Rebate for a Propane Clothes Dryer in new construction, change of energy source, or replacement
Rahn’s Oil and Propane customers wishing to take advantage of these incentives need to first contact a Rahn’s Associate to complete an application on your behalf. We’ll be able to answer your questions about switching to propane as your chosen energy source, and then give you further instructions. Customers will need to send us a copy of their appliance invoice, and we’ll take care of completing and submitting all the paperwork for you. The MN Propane Association will review the application and then send a check directly to our participating customers. It’s important to note that new, eligible propane appliances must be purchased and installed within 90 days of the postmarked date of the incentive application.
