On Thursday, August 19th Rahn’s Oil & Propane hosted the Minnesota Petroleum Marketers at True North Cafe in Melrose, MN. This meeting allowed us to learn more about the latest in petroleum news. Staying on top of the latest requirements, regulations, and news is important to make sure we provide the best product at the right time to our customers.

Lunch with Representative Paul Anderson
The Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association (MPM) was formed in 1923. They provide services to petroleum marketers like Rahn’s. They are available to help them at all levels of government and to support fellow marketers. MPM has four main emphases – education, regulatory analysis, and programs to help with compliance, legislative and regulatory monitoring, and services for the members.
MPM Regional Meeting
The MPM meeting featured a number of presenters sharing information about the latest news and regulations in the industry. It is important for us to stay at the forefront of changes.
- The first presenter was Bob MacDonald from Minnesota Petroleum Services
- Chuck St Martin from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration spoke to the group regarding the FMCSA Clearinghouse Requirement updates and review of the Federal Drug and Alcohol Program by the US Department of Transportation
- A member of the Minnesota State Patrol completed a thorough roadside inspection of a bulk delivery truck
- Representative Paul Anderson joined us for lunch and spoke about the impact of fuel and propane in our Ag Economy
